News N°53 : Covenant Affiliates grow 102% in the First Quarter of 2022

The first quarter of 2022 has been fabulous for Covenant. In just 3 months we more than doubled the number of our affiliates. Many buildings invited us to make a presentation in front of their supervisory committee, their accountants and lawyers, or their owners’ meeting to decide their affiliation with Covenant. We had the opportunity to explain in detail what we have done in 2021 to improve the lives of the owners and residents of Puerto Aventuras, as well as the projects we have for the future. The vast majority decided to join Covenant such as Villas del Mar, Portofino, Pueblo Escondido … and many more.

In fact, of the 15 largest properties in Puerto Aventuras, whose votes/contribution represent a third of the total, 14 are now with Covenant. Additionally, we had many small and medium-sized buildings that were affiliated, as well as a large number of single-family houses and vacant lots with which we could easily finance our investment budget of 13 million and increase it by making additional investments for the community.

The fact that 14 of the 15 largest properties (hotels, Villas del Mar, Marina Mia, Chac Hal Al, Gran Península, Bliss, Quinta Agua, Portobello, Portofino, Pueblo Escondido… are affiliated with Covenant, is a very important indicator because large properties have more resources (accountants, lawyers…) to objectively evaluate our association and if after a detailed analysis, they massively affiliated with Covenant, it is an important indication for the others who are not yet affiliated.

Additionally, Covenant managed to convince a large part of the owners who did not pay, to join Covenant. As a community, we cannot accept that some of our members take advantage of their neighbors by not paying a penny for maintenance and security, so if you are not yet a member, we encourage you to join Covenant as soon as possible.

Thanks to all our members, we will have more money to invest in the community to improve services and safety, and we expect by the end of the year, that we will have enough resources to provide all the services required for gardening and maintenance of the Resort and provide optimal security to owners. In fact, we are now 10 weeks without a home or apartment robbery.
